Ch1 13
You can’t say they didn’t give her the option to back down. I think the true problem here is that Hasera is just not good at picking up on social cues.

Bindingd’s? Bingdings. Wingdings. Webdings!
Illuminati confirmed! Good catch, we’ll fix that tonight. (Or Alli can get it fixed right away, apparently.)
fixed!
Also, it’s “social cues”. (A “cue” being a signal.) A “queue” is a line of people waiting for something.
Good catch.
Well, from her perspective, the council was just about to fail her. It’d be understandable if she’s thinking that they don’t actually have her best interests in mind. Even if, from an objective viewpoint, they’re trying to save her life and she SHOULD be failed. The ironic thing is that it’s the very part of them that DOESN’T have her best interests in mind – the little voice saying that if they give her the job, that’s one less ‘real’ guardian that Lark will get killed – that will get her the job.
It’s like a reverse conscience!
Is there any chance that, unbeknownst to the rest of the council, Hasera is that council member’s daughter?
also,
2…
In the ‘about’ page, we gave a hint as to why there is an empty seat on the council. That’s a pretty diplomatic guess, though! Now, I have to ask – what’s with the count down? 😀
The count down has something to do with my first comment. It will be clear when it gets to 0.
And now I’m gonna read the about page.
Alright, I just read the about page, and I’m very interested in seeing where this will go.
However, I’m not quite clear on a couple of things:
1)How is the gods’ leaving to go fight each other in some other place outside the 9 planes, supposed to help prevent a plane from being destroyed if they kill each other, or was the nature of their fighting supposed to be changed as well as its location?
2)Since the 9 planes supposedly share the same template, what does it mean for the Neutral Realm to be “the largest of what remains among the Gods’ domains”? Aren’t they all the same shape and size (and place, though dimensionally shifted)?
1) That part is relevant to the story, so minor spoilers: They use their followers as their armies and wage war. Whomever collects all the other idols wins. The more followers, the bigger the army. Oh, did I mention the Strife is a daily thing? If you die in the strife, you’re not really dead, you’ll just come back the next day and have to do it all over again, as will the guy you skewered.
2) The planes all share the same base template. However, when the Gods did combat amongst themselves, their blows were so devastating that they LITERALLY broke parts of the plane they were battling each other on.
Seems to be no reply option to your last post, so I’m replying to myself here:
1) So… they ‘did’ change the nature of their fight so they won’t kill each other and destroy planes. Doesn’t sound like much fun for their followers, but then again, if it isn’t, they can just stop following them – or not, I guess we’ll find out.
2) OUCH of OUCHINESS! Side note, will there eventually be a side story about the inhabitants of The Great Floor, who have had Plane fragments fall on their heads? If not, even a mention of some in-world fiction about them, read/written by Hasera, will do.
“…And may whatever gods you worship have mercy on your soul.” 😇
