Ch3 08
Truly. His life is the hardest. Being paid thousands of rounds for a simple letter delivery. What kind of ‘danger’ could possibly follow that? Maybe a severe case of splinters from the mailbox? Oh, perhaps a barking dog? I guess we’ll have to wait and see…
On another note, due some financial issues and serious problems with Alli’s hand we have dropped everything on our patreon down to $1! So if you have ever wanted to help us out, you can now do so for the low low price of $1 and get some nice extras in the process including – previews of the newest pages inks, access to the sketch book and wallpapers when ever they are put up!
I’d figure it’s as likely his “curse” regarding money is his tendency to spend it like water: women, booze,… damages.
Paper cuts count as danger. Trust me.
Quite! Though, most people would laugh at you for saying that… I went through the great Slicing of ’98. Young’ns don’t remember that one. Many-a-finger got lost on that dark, dark day.
Mwuhahahahaha and this is where Lark informs her that in point of fact she IS the Abyssal Princess and that the woman on the throne is her evil twin. Sorry, used to listen to a lot of radio dramas, comedy etc. You know stuff like The Shadow, The Green Hornet. etc.
You forgot to mention that her uncle, twice removed, is after her fortune, the paper boy is actually the prince, but with amnesia and that Lark’s long-lost sister is returning from the grave. She is, in fact, an imposter hired by Hasera’s uncle, whose sole job is to ‘seduce’ Lark in order to smear his credibility – thus ensuring that Lark’s family fortune is squandered on legal bills, thereby leaving Hasera’s uncle all the wealth and power! INGENIOUS, I SAY!
Someone get me paper! I’ll be rich, I tell you!
truly.
The irony is you might actually be since your mother is never mentioned only your father, and well he is scary to most people. He is cursed and all hail the princess?
Wizards often have trysts with hellish creatures, I’ve heard. That’s probably one of the reasons they become wizards.
You’re blurring the line between Wizards and Warlocks. One takes years off their life in order to attain the power that they need. Other have to read lots of books: This generally takes years.
I can see the confusion 😀
I mean there is a layer of hell that is ice.
It’s reserved for lawyers, from what I understand.
So at what point do we find out Hasera’s abyssal royalty?
Hrrrmn. So Lark believes he is cursed with danger…
Does that mean he deliberately avoids easy but lucrative jobs because he knows from experience that if he goes, there will inevitably be some ruckus that does make it incredibly dangerous for all around. So by refusing the apparent milkruns, he avoids bringing danger to innocents whose only crime was to want a celebrity appearance. If he focuses on the jobs that are OBVIOUSLY dangerous, then he can still do more good than harm.
Plus, you’re more likely to get some ‘action’ from a dangerous job than from being the guest appearance at little Timmy’s birthday party – then again, Timmy’s mom is known to be frisky… Hmmm…
Foreshadowing, maybe~
Also, I thought there was something going on with Lark as he seems pretty resigned to the fact that she is going to die. So, maybe the curse thing is real and he’s playing it off.
