Ch3 12
Well, now you’ve gone and jynxed it, haven’t you, Hass? I mean, let’s be honest, it’s just putting a piece of paper into a slot – how bad can it be? Maybe there will be some kind of three-headed guard dog? Or perhaps it’s a trap to lure in our unsuspecting hero to his untimely demise? Or perhaps it’s far more sinister than that! Perhaps this is all a trick and the whole time and it will be a three headed guard dog in the mail slot whose sole purpose is to murder our unsuspecting hero!
Or you know, it’s just a knob who wants to say he got The Lark to deliver some kind of ‘I love you letter’ to his angry spouse (Who may or may not appreciate the gesture of a beefcake delivery service)
I guess you’ll just have to wait and see… Though theories are always lovely to discuss below…
Gotta say, these last two pages… Really disappointing.
The Lark put on a shirt, and now a COAT over that? I just don’t know where this is all going.
The Lark with decent clothing? Preposterous! Unheard of!
Ps: Typo in very first speech bubble.
In between making the ladies swoon, fighting impossible monsters and annoying his Guardians to death (sometimes literally), The Lark is known to sport decent apparel – though for some reason, his clothing is always the same… Some say it’s an enchanted burlap sack, others say it’s because The Order has a serious discount with the makers of those particular pieces of apparel… No one knows for sure.
You do realise that he has to put ON clothing in order for it to stylistically rip, shred, or be torn off while fighting, right?
Why ever would we do such a thing! It’s almost like it’s some kind of trope we’re specifically targeting, or something… Must be a coincidence. WINK! WINK! Er, I mean… *WINKS TWICE*
@ Mujaki
Not to worry, I have this odd feeling that The Lark will soon get separated from his coat and shirt (and maybe more).
@ Allison Myres
First panel, shouldn’t it be “delivering a letter” ?
Nonsense. My Hero! Has done some marketing research and has found that ‘typical work place’ comedies are the new rage! Welcome to the new My Hero!: The Office Politics version. Be prepared to watch thrilling adventures of: Paper pushing! Document writing! Coffee Drinking! and more incredibly boring and repetitious administrative work! Spreadsheets abound! Oh, and I guess the writers will throw in some quirky behaviours and jokes about coffee or something. Then My Hero! will take off like a Seraph who heard the jingling of a fool’s coin purse.
And this is what made office space such a hit. It was funny because for the most part it was so close to real life. You’re definitely on to something. Same thing with slice of life anime titles, and shows like The Office.
What could possibly go wrong? With these two ….
I believe I hear the apocalypse calling…
My guess? The delivery actually goes fine, which makes Hasera smug and Lark that much more paranoid.
Only then does the other shoe drop, and something goes horribly horribly wrong. Lark yells “I told you so!” and Hasera just blames him for everything. 🙂
Oh please, Hasera wouldn’t be so petty as to blame Lark for something that he had absolutely no control of – oh wait… She would.
We don’t talk about the Cardstock War. I’m having terrible flashbacks of the lemon-juice-and-salt waterballoons.
Tempting the fates much, Hass? Saying things like that, you might as well just stab him yourself.
Don’t think for a second that she wouldn’t if she knew she could get away with it!
Yay! Updates, just got to check on this comic and was happy to see it back up. Hope the hand is doing better now.
There will be scantly clad young women in that house. With a fancy for well-built heroes. Don’t say we did not warn you, Hass.
20 rounds says it’s an obsessive fan/stalker and who ends up capturing The Lark thru some BS plot device
Am I sharing my script with everyone? Quick! Last minute changes! They’ve figured it out!
(But seriously, that part does happen in the future. I won’t say much else)
Rocks fall, Hass dies.
Phew, dodged that bullet! Now we don’t have to spend all that time on character development…
Hasera obviously never watched Jackass…
