Ch3 19
Ah yes, top of her class for strategy. Truly. Perhaps she should remember some of the key points of fighting horrible monsters: One of which is to avoid taunting them and seriously avoid challenging Alteria and the Gods to prove you wrong.
But… it’s Hasera. Honestly, I’m surprised she hasn’t broken out into a dance.
This ain’t over yet, Hasera!
Insulting the Worm with a Loud Voices while he is distracted from something to don’t kill you looks like a smart move Hasera.
Perhaps the distraction is internal (Lark working his way out).
Why is it looking around like is any body watching this? I want an audience, drat.
It already has a captive audience of one, the Lark!
Well, a captive, at the least.
Well, she did say it was tactics she scored top marks in, not strategy…
That said, taunting a monster can be strategy, if the strategy is to get the monster to fight you – someone who might actually have a chance of defeating it – rather than preying on helpless innocents.
I just found this comic! Really nice colours and a fun feel to it- now to dig back into the archive. (The creators are lovely friendly folk too!)
Top of the class might not mean much if everyone else is focussing on healing and/or preventing their hero to be eaten as if he is a McNugget.
Allison, in Chapter 1 pg 6, Hasera talks about having high marks in tactics, which is a different thing than strategy. Tactics let her stab that wyrm with an ice shaft (claims of tactical skill are verified). Strategy is not taunting the wyrm (claims of strategy skill are not verified).
