Ch3 28
And thus concludes another exciting chapter of My Hero! Will Hasera not murder Lark? Will that purple goop wash off of our incredibly annoyed heroine? How inbred is that cloudhound!? All of these questions (Except probably the inbred cloudhound question) will be answered! Stay tuned! Same Champion Time, same Champion Site!
Also, apologies. While trying to set up a server, I stupidly forgot to write up my Hasera and Lark review. I’ll get it up for next week. I’m not entirely sure which comic the two will be reviewing, but I’m open to suggestions!
Of course, if this Celestial keeps an inbred cloudhound, that means others keep them as well.
Which means organizations, breeders, and….
Dog Shows.
You think the American Kennel Club can get snooty, whoa brother, they don’t hold a candle to the Celestials!
Wasn’t the term Seraph rather than Celestial?
I thought it was ‘Prig’.
It’s bound to get better… Way to jinx it, Hasera!
Now it will be a downward spiral from here on.
She does seem to have a gift for that.
Of course Hasera will not murder Lark. She’ll try, but the curse makes it all bounce off him!
More seriously…
I’m really surprised that the Seraph can get away with “cost of therapy sessions for dealing with your unprofessional attitude”. She may or may not be able to claim the value of the house without an arbitrator, but something like that should be something that requires a little more than an assertion – particularly since she’s just admitted to something that would understandably make a Guardian angry, so it strikes me as unlikely at this point that she actually intends on attending any such therapy sessions.
Her name should be on the contract, so if there is any legal system to back up her claims, there should be a means of verifying that the ‘damages’ she’s claiming for is actually going to what she’s claiming them. If not, she’s probably relying on Hasera being too flabbergasted to object, but if there is no legal backing for randomly claiming “therapy sessions” for damages, then at the very least the Order can blacklist the Seraph. Which may or may not come back to bite her later.
Well, Hasera did use racial slurs against the poor, innocent Seraph…
That may be, however, as you stated to me in an earlier comment there are no witnesses present thus turning this into a “She said/She said” incident. I mean really, the order has a very good case to drag into infinitum assuming there is some sort of civil court system in this realm. And if there isn’t well…those wings would probably make a nice scarf or cloak I imagine. Hasera just needs to work on her intimidation stat.
And her Diplomacy.
This is preposterous! Hasera should be taking that Seraph to whatever law court this world has. Not only did serious bodily harm happen to Lark while in the service of the Seraph, but the Seraph admitted planning for this to happen! “Unprofessional attitude”? What about the harm the Seraph’s attitude has done to Hasera? She could be in counseling for years. Our heroine should be looking for a good solicitor, and if necessary take this to the highest celestial supreme court!
Actually, if she was planning on this to happen, that’s a sign of intent – and you can’t tell me that Hasera isn’t considered an officer of the law. This sort of thing, well – the Seraph should not only be nailed for the cost of the contract, but imprisoned for fraud and conspiracy to commit fraud.
The real offense is putting a cleric’s alignment under stress.
I shall briefly regret this comment, however.
It seems this land is ruled by Hollywood Law. IE whatever sounds framed and rigged against honest people. Not something that can stand up to scrutiny.
There are laws and requirements all throughout this land and this is not one of those exceptions. Hass knows what she needs to do in order to get this straightened out. It just takes her getting back to The Order to begin those wheels moving. Hasera just knows that if she does pummel the smug face of the fraudulent Seraph, it will end up with the Seraph getting even more of a payout.
other than the bad chemistry why exactly is hass still mad at LARK right now? it WAS her idea to do the contract and all lark really did was show up and survive. and also cover her in abyssal wurm guts, i suppose.
And is the exact opposite of the depictions that she has had a heavy crush on for the past decade? If you’ve ever had a girlfriend, wife, significant other or other type of partner that had dreamt about you cheating on them and has been angry at you for said dream, then you’d understand her current mood. I’m sure she’ll get over it.
