Ch4 09
Talkin’ ’bout a montage (Montage!) Lots of walking. Not much talking (for some reason). While Alli and I contemplated having a long, drawn out story arc of Hasera and Lark moving forward and constantly talking to one another, we figured that it would slow down the pace of the story to the point of nothing important being shown to the audience. We opted, instead, to fast forward through this in order to get to the meat of the story.
This does not mean that we’re going to skip all the talky bits. It just means that whatever the two were talking about was not important enough for you all to see (Also, they probably remained silent the entire way…)
While quite a bit of the trip is likely to be silent, there are several answers our girl needs, one being just why he is rushing off in the night. of course, she may be thinking he is just a cad, but it seems likely he can just walk away in full daylight with the ladies thanking him. There are distinct possibilities that he does “have” to leave. Two ideas… Lark’s curse does not strike directly at him. Rather, he has an erratic idea of when and where the next monster strike will be. He doesn’t especially know what or such, or anything at all in some cases, but sometimes he gets a warning that allows little time for anything but immediately setting out for the next confrontation. Or… Lark’s curse gets worse the longer he stays in one place. While that does not worry him, the damage to on-lookers increases. So when he is aware another, larger, attack is coming, he moves to another location, where the attack will be smaller. or…
And she does need to warn Lark that she can’t cure him, and that it wasn’t her that cured him in the last fight.
So the sun in this world is a big, shining, glittery atom? Also the next town they visit seems to be abandoned, or the gardener is doing a bad job.
Somehow, I suspect that Lark and Hasera probably get along best when they’re not talking.
That could be taken so many ways, lol
Did you know the sun counts as a neutron star?
