Those are all super legit reasons not to carry the identifying mark as a Guardian of The Order.

The only excuse for having lost the surcoat to begin with, that I’ll accept is the anthropomorphic cat’s. The other two are just lame. The not replacing them because the order is supposed to take care of that is legit though.
Obviously you have never seen a savage chicken!
I’ve played all three Fable’s. I know just how savage a chicken can be good sir.
The order not caring financially for his guardians?! Who would’ve thought!
I’m pretty sure (hoping) everyone saw that one coming. 😀 It’s not like they’ve been portrayed as money-grubbing round-pinchers or anything!
Having worked in healthcare I can most relate to the elf’s reasoning after leaving that field when people asked me to look at or give any opinion about something health related. My current answer I am not a doctor nor am I paid a wage to look at anything any more. Go away. You see some really stomach turning things when you work in healthcare. I work with mostly elderly who were damn proud of their ‘thingy on this arm that looks like Idaho’.
Chicken are scary… That’s a very legit reason to lose a piece of clothing of probably questionable quality, given how the order is basically broke haha
It’s surprising how vicious a chicken can be. Especially a rooster. Those bastards will ruin your day if you don’t have adequate clothing, a weapon, or a strong enough leg to punt them into the horizon. I mean, honestly – look at poor Link. Mess with the cuckoos and you get the claws!
Birds are actually surviving species of dinosaurs, fairly closely related to Velociraptor and Dienonychus and T. Rex. And as for the ability of roosters to rumble, well, another name for “rooster” is “cock”, and a fairly common betting sport was known as “cock fighting”. The sport may still be going on in various places –it’s a big MultiVerse out there– and, besides, roosters just naturally fight each other for breeding rights with the hens.
When I was younger a rooster managed to chase me over my gradparents’ farm. Been keeping my distance ever since. They always seems to look at me funny. The apocalypse will be brought upon us by chicken… I can feel it haha
Has is probably thinking to herself that somehow… just somehow it’s gotta be lark’s fault as well. Maybe the order is actually broke because of paying for lark’s upkeep.
Maybe not so much Lark’s upkeep as the cost of training all those replacement Guardians.
She says savage chicken attack and I instantly flashback to Zelda: Link to the Past. Doesn’t matter that it’s been over 20 years, I still recall that damn chicken, and I’m sure I’m not alone on this, either.
Link’s Awakening DX. Was that gameboy advance or gameboy colour? Maybe I should find the GamePak and check…
Still, my family has kept chickens (to collect the eggs) since I was… 8? Usually no problems with them, but collecting eggs from broody hens, or making the rooster think you’re threatening the hens, can have results.
Original GB brick. Think it got a re-release on color though.
Read comic for the third time. Finally noticed that ‘The Savage Chicken’ is also the name of the spaceship from the Freefall webcomic…
