Uh oh. Looks like Hasera might have a little bit of an issue now with letting Lark die. I wonder what changed for her to find him attractive? Oh well. I’m sure it’s not important at all. It’s probably just the suit – I hear men in some kind of uniform are irresistible to some women. I mean, there’s a reason that we haven’t updated the ‘suit’ design for men in over a century, right?

Separate comment because it didnt fit with the comedic intention of my first; So not to unravel any major plot points but I’m getting the feeling that since his sister has “kill anything” as her quirk Lark’s Godblood power is “Unkillable” but since there is no real way to test this besides ya know, Murder, he was raised with the mistaken belief that he was more vulnerable than the rest of his family which also explains why his Mama tests him so harshly. She’s worried and wants him to be prepared so he doesn’t get hurt.
I was thinking the same sort of thing, though you took it further than I was taking it.
That would also explain how he survived the poison and the giant worm, but it doesn’t explain why disasters happen to him constantly.
Stay tuned for the next chapter as the ‘dinner party’ will have quite a bit of exposition on that stuff. 🙂
Maybe his hair gives him unresistable charisma which is why Hass seems to have blown a gasket. She’s seen his bare chest without the hair being evident and had no trouble resisting his charms. Hair goes down and so do her defenses.
