Ch7 07
So, Lark thinks Hasera is pure of heart because she didn’t immediately try to jump his bones. As someone has already mentioned in the comments, the bar for ‘good person’ is exceptionally low in this world. Remember, The Order of the Nine is all about the rounds these days, not saving folks.
If you are honestly expecting nice, caring and loving individuals, I can give you a list of other comics to check out. ‘Round these parts? They’re all terrible people.
And proud of it.
I presume it’s Daddy-O she’s talking to, and not Lark?
She’s probably speaking to both. 🙂
You tell ’em, Has!
To be fair. Hass is the first girl Lark has met that didnt immediately jump into bed with him ssoooooo the purity bar is probably pretty low. subterranean even.
Did Lark just save her from choking? And that look she gave him in panel four is a lovely touch.
I like how Lark just casually helps Hass out, while explaining this
Give it time JeffyBoy, you have barely even met her
She clearly didn’t expect a compliment from him, much less of that nature. Smooth pivot into shutting Magnus down, too – or attempting to at least. Guessing she’ll get back to Lark about that comment later – that’ll be fun to see.
I’m just sittin’ here off to the side eatin’ my popcorn…
Honestly given what we’ve seen so far I wouldn’t be surprised if Hasera was the purest hearted Guardian he’d dealt with, well that and given the sort of people the Lark seems to run into she I wouldn’t be surprised if she the purest hearted person he’s met period that wasn’t a young child because as others have noted this world’s standards for goodness and purity seem comically low.
I am half surprised she hasn’t been kidnapped as a sacrifice for some sort of evil ritual yet.
Hasera *is* still “pure” (a virgin), after all… 😍
He sure is.
Me thinks She douth protests to much!
I am curious about a couple things. Is she his longest surviving guardian at this point? And would she have been the first to have died via choking on a piece of bread if she had died just then?
Longest surviving? Not yet. That is approximately 3 months away. His first one lasted a while! As for the bread, she’d be the second.
Then again Lark’s Dad is a Richard
For just a moment, I thought she was objecting to the “pure of heart” thing.
